i'm 33. i live with my husband, baby daughter 2 dogs and 1 kitty. i'm a chemical engineer with an MBA and work in technical sales. i tend to bite off more than i *think* i can chew and end up with a full bulging mouth for awhile before i can finally swallow. i thrive in chaos, but strive for order.

i'm ready

i felt it. friday night. returned the i love you. no weirdness. it feels right. this one is the one. besides just feeling it, i have noticed myself acting differently than i have in past relationships.

namely, i don't want to change him.

i can live with his quirks and flaws and imperfections. even the SNORING. and in return, he will live with mine. the positives far outweigh the negatives.

thinking that you can find a mate who has no negative traits is setting yourself up for a lifetime of dissapointment.

nagging always has the opposite effect. dwelling on things that you can't change is the fastest way to drive yourself crazy.

if i want to get some sleep, i need to suck it up and invest in a good pair of ear plugs.

  1. If you can live with the snoring, you are a better woman than me. Sounds like you've found a keeper. Glad to hear it! By the way , nice to have you back in the blogosphere, I was having Fluffy Puppy withdrawls.

  3. Ahhh, snoring. Actually, Walgreen's has good ear plugs. In addition to all the other fabulous buys you made there.

  4. I recommend those malleable paraffin ones...at least I think they are paraffin. I once had both a boyfriend who snored and a downstairs neighbor who would fall asleep with his TV on what sounded like some kind of porn channel...and these helped me sleep through it. The only downside is that they so completely block out sound that I slept through my alarm once or twice when I was truly exhausted.

Anyway, very exciting about the boy! Glad you are so happy!
